In the telecommunication industry today, there is no technology more promising than SMS business. SMS (an acronym for “Short Message Service”) business is what you use to send and receive text messages on your mobile phone, computer, or other electronic device. SMS messaging services are hotter than ever, and along with the burgeoning VoIP (“voice over IP”) service field, it is the best field in telecommunications to invest in — and to use!
SMS is used by nearly all cellular phone companies to enable customers to send and receive text messages on their phones. In order to understand the SMS business, it’s important to know what a VoIP system is. VoIP systems are simply telephone systems that use the Internet to send calls and messages as opposed to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). VoIP can also be referred to as Internet telephony, IP telephony, broadband telephony, and voice over broadband (VoBB).
This all might sound daunting but never fear. VoIP is your friend! There are a number of incentives and assurances that come with VoIP. If the popularity of the product is an indicator of its usefulness, then VoIP is a slam dunk. And so is SMS business. The number of users is truly astonishing. In 2010, there were approximately 47 million subscribers to mobile VoIP service. That figure is now project to reach 410 million by next year! SMS business is nothing to scoff at! According to Infonetics Research, the number of companies that offer VoIP service and SMS business in 2011 will double by 2016. Also, in general, because more and more people in the US and around the globe are using high-speed internet service, it’s only natural that consumers are increasingly relying on SMS business to communicate.
